We are proud to announce the establishment of the AMIS Education Foundation (AMISEF).

The Foundation was incorporated on September 26, 2008, and will serve as a non-profit organization dedicated to providing Atlanta Montessori International School teacher and classroom enrichment opportunities as well as student financial aid scholarships.

The AMISEF is a 501(c)(3) organization. This allows AMISEF to secure significantly more donations, especially from corporations and other private foundations, and also makes all future contributions to the foundation tax deductible.

"Passport To The World"
will be held on March 27, 2011 at 6 pm.

This signature AMIS Education Foundation event rasies funds for scholarships benefiting students of the Atlanta Montessori International School (AMIS). Enjoy an evening with our AMIS community while bidding on silent and live auction items and enjoying complimentary appetizers and beverages.

Fairy Tea Party and Photography Session Raises Financial Aid Money

This special event on May 23, 2010, raised about $400 to benefit the AMIS Education Foundation in generating funds to support financial aid for AMIS students.

WHAT
A fairy tea party that includes stories, songs, a special take-home craft made from the garden as well as little fairy cakes and dainty teacups.

Oana Hogrefe Photography (shutterview.com) will be available to capture your fairy in action (photos available for purchase separately, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit AMISEF as well).

WHO
2 to 4 year olds with one adult, 5 and up can be dropped off if desired. Come dressed in fairy gear. Oana Hogrefe Photography also has a limited supply of tutus and fairy wings which will be available.

COST
$40 per fairy ($30 for additional siblings/children in your group)

The AMIS Education Foundation hosted this signature community event on April 24, 2010, at the Tula Art Center in Buckhead.

Thank you to the AMIS families and alumni, teachers, staff and friends who contributed to make this event a success.

October 15, October 22 and November 12, 2009 - Information Sessions on Apogee Scholarship Fund (8:30am-9:30am)

The Atlanta Montessori international School will begin offering scholarships to eligible students through the Georgia Private School Tax Credit program.  Please attend one of these two information sessions at the school to learn more about this program and how you can contribute to student scholarships at the school.

September 26, 2009 - AMISEF Yard Sale a Success!

Our yard sale took place in the AMIS school parking lot on Saturday, September 26, from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. Thanks to our parent volunteers and supporting families and friends, we raised $1,680 that can be applied toward our fundraising efforts.

July 24, 2009 - AMISEF granted nonprofit status

The AMIS Education Foundation received its IRS determination letter granting it 501(c)(3) nonprofit status on July 24, 2009.  This tax status is retroactive to the foundation's incorporation in September 2008.

The AMISEF is currently in the process of receiving our 501(c)(3) status from the IRS. This allows AMISEF to secure significantly more donations – especially from corporations and other private foundations and also makes all future contributions to the foundation tax deductible.

The AMIS Education Foundation is a non-profit public charity with its own governing body and Board of Directors.
