Kick Starts Martial Arts has donated a Karate class PLUS uniform for the AMIS Foundation Auction.
Kyo Sah Nim founded Kick Start Martial Arts in 2007 to offer Tang Soo Do ("The Way of the Tang Hand"), Mu Duk Kwan, a traditional Korean martial art that has been largely incorporated into modern Taekwondo. Kick Start teaches traditional Korean forms, hand and foot techniques. They supplement these with self-defense techniques and overall endurance and flexibility training.
Training takes place in a formal atmosphere with an emphasis on etiquette and self-control as well as physical ability. Training generally is divided into the practice of basic techniques and sparring. While sparring, students stop blows just short of contact so that power is always maintained with control.
